Description:
Ambu A/S is currently looking for a HR Manager, UKI & Nordics to be based in our UK office in Cambridgeshire.
You will be part of both the UKI and Nordics leadership teams with direct reporting line to the VP Nordics, UKI. Furthermore, you will have a dotted reporting line to the global People & Culture function located in Copenhagen, Denmark. You have full responsibility for all end-to-end HR deliveries in the UK, Ireland, Norway, Sweden, and Finland as well as Denmark, however, in Denmark you will have colleagues who support with operational tasks.
The role requires a wide range of HR competencies from very administrative tasks to strategic projects. Together with the VP and the rest of the regional leadership teams, you will drive key People & Culture strategies e.g., employee engagement, talent management, and leadership development and be a trusted People & Culture advisor to the leaders. You will be responsible for developing, and ensuring adherence to, local policies and guidelines. You can expect to join a strong community of HR colleagues across country borders while maintaining full ownership of your region.
Key responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Owning full HR responsibilities in the region across legal entities
- Regional ownership and follow-up on the global annual HR wheel, and driving alignment and initiatives to meet business objectives (i.e. recruiting, talent management, employee and leadership development, workers council collaboration, HR administration, tracking of HR budget, annual HR processes, etc.).
- Driving cross company culture initiatives in the countries, in collaboration with the leadership teams, by shaping and driving the people agenda and creating a positive employee experience through embedded HR initiatives, change management and communication.
- Working closely with the global Centres of Excellence and regional HR Directors to ensure consistent implementation of global People & Culture Initiatives
- Act as the HR sparring partner on all HR-related topics to the regional leadership teams
- Lead and drive local business transformation from a HR perspective to increase organizational efficiency.
- Ensuring compliance with all layers of governance (federal, state, and local employment and labour laws) as well as aligning towards company strategy, benefits, and culture.
- Acting as an active driver of change towards continuous improvement and standardization across the country when it comes to benefits, systems, practices, processes, tools, and contracts.
Suggested candidate profile
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who comes with HR experience from both the UK and Scandinavia. You come with a lot of drive to manage the HR function efficiently, with focus on details and a great ability to prioritise tasks. You enjoy creating structure and are motivated by having to manage multiple tasks from A-Z. You easily navigate between taking a holistic view and supporting strategic decisions as well as the growth strategy, to focusing on very detailed admin tasks such as updating HR systems, managing payroll matters, issuing employment contracts etc. Further, you will bring most or all of the following:
- Extensive holistic HR experience in the UK and Nordics
- Knowledge of British and Nordic employment law
- Strong interpersonal skills, ensuring collaboration across countries and functions
- Ability to negotiate and mediate in various HR-related situations and resolving conflicts and reaching mutually beneficial agreements
- Strong ability to analyze matters, provide effective solutions and proactively address issues and implementing preventive measures, especially in complex and sensitive situations
- Strong experience translating global strategies to regional implementation
- Experience in SuccessFactors or a similar HR system
