We’re looking for a hands-on, strategic and experienced HR Manager with progressive HR generalist experience, to be the driving force behind our day-to-day people operations as we continue our international growth. Based in central London, you’ll be the go-to person for all HR matters — from recruitment and employee relations to compensation, benefits, and learning and development. This is a roll-up-your-sleeves role where you’ll have the chance to strengthen our HR foundations while supporting an entrepreneurial shipping business on its next exciting chapter.

Responsibilities

· Lead and manage HR operations across the UK and international offices, overseeing employee contracts, payroll, onboarding, and offboarding, and ensuring flawless delivery of payroll and benefits in partnership with Finance.
· Serve as the primary HR contact for employees, providing timely and accurate guidance on benefits, leave, pay, and other employment matters.
· Drive the full recruitment lifecycle, from attracting top talent to managing offers, while ensuring a best-in-class onboarding experience for new hires.
· Design and deliver the internship and graduate programme, representing the business at graduate fairs and fostering strong links with universities.
· Manage visa and immigration requirements for the UK and UAE, ensuring compliance and smooth processing.
· Review and optimise the UK and international benefits offering, ensuring competitiveness and alignment with employee needs.
· Act as a trusted advisor to leadership and managers, building strong relationships and influencing people decisions at all levels.
· Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that embody the company’s values and support a positive workplace culture.
· Oversee all employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
· Streamline HR systems and processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and employee experience.
· Shape and lead the Learning & Development agenda, identifying skills gaps and delivering impactful initiatives.
· Manage year-end reward processes, including salary benchmarking, compensation reviews, and the implementation of competitive reward practices.
