Zepf Center has been serving the Lucas County community for over 50 years. We are the leading provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Services include adult and child psychiatric, substance abuse, case management, residential, Crisis Care, and therapy programs, as well as career development and wellness services. SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for developing, coordinating, and assisting in the management of the Human Resource department. Areas of responsibility within this function include benefit administration, performance management, labor relations, government compliance, workers’ compensation, leave management and supervision over recruitment and onboarding.
- Works with Sr. Director of HR to design/update the institute’s compensation programs to meet the current and future needs of the organization and makes recommendations to the CEO and CFO.
- Identifies and implements workers compensation strategies to reduce cost, return the employee to work as soon as possible, and improve workplace safety.
- Investigates and determines the validity of employee misconduct claims or violations of collective bargaining agreements and Zepf Center’s policies and procedures.
- Assists in labor contract negotiations. Monitors the agency’s compliance with the labor agreement, counsels’ management regarding labor issues, and coordinates the grievance process to support CHRO.
- Oversees government reporting regulations affecting the Human Resource including: EEO, ERISA, FLSA, OSHA etc. Monitors exposure of the agency and makes recommendations to management. Directs the preparation of information requested/ required for compliance.
- Administers the agency’s leave of absence program, Including FMLA and Workers’ Comp.
- Supports the recruitment, selection, placement, and retention of qualified applicants for all programs ensuring compliance with labor agreement and state/ federal regulations.
- Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel. Assists in the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures
- Establishes and maintains department records and reports. Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
- Oversees the management of personnel records and HRIS to ensure compliance with CARF and other regulatory bodies.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or related field
- Five – seven years of related experience required.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS
- PHR or SHRM-C certification preferred.
