Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-orientated HR Officer to play a vital role in supporting our employees and contributing to a positive and productive work environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to broaden their HR experience within a supportive team.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in human resources or a related field.
  • Part or full CIPD qualification (Level 3 minimum) or equivalent or working towards
  • Strong understanding of HR principles, practices and UK employment law
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to build rapport at all levels
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and professionalism
  • Proficiency in MS office suite
    The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role, be self-motivated, enthusiastic and have a flexible approach to work. Battles employs over 100 employees and therefore this role requires a good degree of organisation and a proactive attitude and ability to work under pressure to deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Providing first-line HR support and advice to employees and managers on policies and procedures
  • Managing the full 360 recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, interviewing and managing offers
  • Support employee onboarding and training initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and data entry tasks.
  • Monitor and manage absences including LTS and sickness.
  • Assisting with training and development activities
  • Creating job descriptions, offer letters, contracts of employment, induction packs, ensuring legal compliance and accuracy
  • Dealing with employee relations matters, including grievance, disciplinary procedures and investigations
  • Implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring HR practices comply with relevant legislation and best practices.
  • Preparing HR- related documentation and reports
  • Involvement in other aspects of the business, including Health and Safety where appropriate
