We’re a fast-growing space startup based in Delft, the Netherlands, driven by a passion for advancing space missions and sustainable innovation. As we continue to scale, we’re looking for an experienced and proactive HR Officer to support our team, shape our people processes, and help create a workplace that is as inspiring as our mission.
As our dedicated HR Officer, you’ll play a central role in building and managing our HR operations. From policy development to performance management, talent acquisition to immigration support, you’ll own and lead key HR initiatives that enable our team to thrive.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3+ years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a startup/scale-up or tech environment
  • Strong knowledge of Dutch labour law and HR best practices
  • Experience with payroll administration and HR software tools
  • Prior involvement in immigration and international employee relocation is a big plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Proactive, structured, and people-focused mindset

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with technical recruitment
  • Excellent communication skills in Dutch
  • Ability to collaborate with remote teams (New Zealand, France)
    Note: this role is a fixed term contract with intent for a permanent contract after 12 months.
Responsibilities
  • ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REVIEW:Coordinate and manage the full cycle of our yearly performance review process, ensuring fairness, transparency, and continuous development.
  • HR POLICIES:Draft, implement, and regularly update internal HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Dutch labour laws and best practices. Coordinate with the team in New Zealand for global HR operations.
  • PAYROLL MANAGEMENT:Oversee the accurate and timely execution of monthly payroll, in collaboration with finance and external payroll providers.
  • IMMIGRATION & RELOCATION SUPPORT:Guide and support new international hires through immigration processes, including visa applications, 30% ruling eligibility, and relocation to the Netherlands.
  • TALENT ACQUISITION:Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts — from crafting job descriptions and sourcing candidates to interviewing and onboarding — ensuring we attract top talent aligned with our values.
  • WORKER’S COUNCIL COLLABORATION:Act as the HR point of contact for the Works Council, supporting open dialogue and collaborative efforts to improve workplace policies and culture.
