HR OFFICER (PART-TIME/CASUAL) - DISABILITY SERVICES

Equal Living (www.equal-living.com.au) is a fast growing Disability Services Company with centers in Dandenong, Spotswood, Preston and soon to be Werribee and Heidelberg.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re seeking an experienced HR Officer to join Equal Living on a part-time/casual basis. The ideal candidate will be a versatile HR professional who can manage all aspects of human resources for our organization, with a focus on supporting our disability support workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle employee relations matters including performance management and disciplinary processes
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in alignment with disability sector requirements
  • Coordinate staff training and development initiatives
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for Disability Support Workers including screening resumes, conducting interviews, and onboarding
  • Process terminations and exits professionally and in accordance with regulations
  • Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and industry standards
  • Provide general HR support and guidance to management and staff

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience in HR role(s), preferably within the disability or healthcare sector
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment law and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in recruitment, particularly for support worker roles
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion and confidentiality
  • Adaptable work style suited to a part-time/casual arrangement
  • Relevant HR qualifications (preferred)

Hours & Arrangement
This position offers flexible part-time/casual hours with the expectation of being available to address HR matters as they arise.
