HR COMPLIANCE OFFICER (TERM TIME ONLY – 38 WEEKS)

Hours: 09:30 – 14:30, Monday to Friday (school hours)
Contract: Term time only (38 weeks per year)
Salary: £28,080 FTE (pro rata £15,187.50)
Leave: 30 days paid annual leave (to be taken during school holidays and public holidays)
Location: Office-based in East Bergholt, with potential for hybrid working

We are seeking a detail-oriented HR Compliance Officer to support our team in maintaining high standards of HR and regulatory compliance. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, has a keen eye for detail, and is looking for a family-friendly schedule aligned with school hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage onboarding and recruitment for agency staff and children’s home employees
  • Ensure full Schedule 2 compliance and maintain accurate HR records
  • Monitor, schedule, and track staff training, ensuring compliance requirements are met
  • Liaise with managers to ensure safeguarding and regulatory standards are upheld
  • Provide HR administrative support with a strong focus on accuracy and compliance

Person Specification

  • Previous HR or compliance experience is desirable but not essential
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail are a must
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams
  • Competent IT skills, including HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of safeguarding or children’s home compliance requirements is an advantage
