About the Role We are seeking an experienced HR Operations & Attendance Lead to oversee payroll, attendance management, and labor compliance in our Japan entity. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processes, compliance with Japanese labor laws, and smooth operation of HR administrative functions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in labor management (労務管理), attendance systems, and communication with external vendors, and is comfortable acting as a bridge between global HR policies and local labor practices. Ensure compliance with Japanese labor law, social insurance, and statutory reporting requirements. Manage and improve attendance and time-tracking systems, including leave management. Oversee payroll processes in collaboration with payroll vendors and internal finance teams. Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding payroll, attendance, and benefits inquiries. Implement HR policies and procedures that align with both global standards and local regulations. Support HR projects such as system implementation, audits, and employee engagement initiatives. Strong knowledge of Japanese labor law, employment regulations, and social insurance practices. Experience working with attendance management systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, or local platforms). Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across global and local teams.
