JOB PURPOSE & SUMMARY
The HR Operations Specialist contributes to an outstanding employee experience by supporting employees, People Leaders, and People & Culture (P&C) through the full lifecycle of the employment relationship.
The HR Operations Specialist provides client-centric support with a focus on pro-active legislation scanning and compliance, policy and program reviews, health and safety activities, complex or escalated medical and non-medical leaves and accommodation requests, and participating in the non-executive job evaluation process. The HR Operations Specialist leads a variety of key activities, including the development and documentation of scalable procedures and workflows, the review and tracking of work and study permits, responding to health and safety related emergencies, and is the lead for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) technical activities, including enhancements and/or customizations
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & DUTIES
Support the broader People & Culture team, as required, with other duties as assigned
Occupational Experience & Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related discipline and post-secondary education from an accredited institution in Human Resources or a related field OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated project management experience, experience leading and/or participating in committees an asset
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, drive projects forward working with a variety of stakeholders, and work independently with the ability to exercise mature judgment and decision-making
Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and other P&C specific systems (Talent Acquisition System, Learning Management System, etc.)
Working Conditions
This position works in a fast-paced office environment and may be required to travel to branch locations on an infrequent basis. Standard work week of 38 hours with additional time required to meet deadlines and project deliverables.

Salary: The annual salary range for this position starts at $69,956. Actual annual base salaries will vary depending on relevant job-related factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and education/training. Depending on the position, DUCA’s total compensation package may include incentive compensation tied to company and individual performance or other benefits.
