POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR & Payroll Administrator to join our growing team. This role combines key human resources responsibilities with payroll processing and HR strategy development. The successful candidate will manage payroll functions, support recruitment and onboarding, maintain HR records, and help develop HR policies, procedures, and KPIs to support management decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow into a leadership role in HR within a supportive, fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma or certificate in HR, Payroll, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in HR, payroll, or administrative roles (transportation/logistics experience is a plus).
  • Experience with QuickBooks and HR/payroll software preferred.
  • Knowledge of HR policy development and performance measurement is an asset.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
  • Proactive and team-oriented.
  • CPHR or CPC designation is an asset but not mandatory.
  • Candidates with HR experience willing to learn payroll are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Manage bi-weekly payroll processing and ensure compliance with legislation.
  • Support recruitment activities, onboarding, and employee record maintenance.
  • Administer employee benefits and respond to payroll-related inquiries.
  • Assist with compliance documentation and safety follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with management on HR metrics and workforce KPIs.
  • Support employee engagement and team-building initiatives.
  • Prepare confidential HR and payroll reports.
  • Provide administrative support to HR leadership.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
