As we grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HR Payroll & Benefits Specialist to join our administrative team.

JOB SUMMARY:

The HR Payroll & Benefits Specialist will play a critical role in managing all payroll processing, benefits administration, and human resources functions. The ideal candidate will have experience in the home care industry, a strong working knowledge of payroll platforms (such as ADP and Paychex), and a deep understanding of HR operations including onboarding, background checks, and benefits coordination.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–5 years of experience in HR and payroll, and payroll, preferably in the home care or healthcare industry.
  •  Proficiency with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, etc.
  •  Familiarity with HHAeXchange or similar home care software.
  •  Strong knowledge of benefits administration including health insurance and 401(k) plans.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  •  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  •  Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  •  Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities
  •  Process accurate and timely payroll using systems such as ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms.
  •  Manage all employee benefits, including health insurance, 401(k), PTO, and vacation accruals.
  •  Maintain and update employee records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  •  Utilize HHAeXchange and/or other home care scheduling platforms to support payroll accuracy and compliance.
  •  Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, I-9 verification, and new hire paperwork.
  •  Administer employee health insurance enrollments, changes, and terminations.
  •  Serve as point of contact for HR inquiries related to payroll, benefits, time off, and policies.
  •  Assist with audits, reports, and reconciliations related to payroll and benefits.
  •  Collaborate with department leads to maintain accurate employee status and HR records.
  •  Maintain confidentiality and ensure all HR practices align with legal and ethical standards.
