SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The HR Business Consultant is responsible for performing advanced, specialized, and administrative HR/Payroll duties for our external clients.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience. Five or more years of professional-level experience in human resources and payroll.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Eight or more years of professional-level experience in human resources and payroll.
Three or more years of experience with Paylocity Software is preferred.

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Must maintain a current Certified Human Resources Professional credential or be able to obtain one within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Advises management on the formulation and administration of plans and policies for human resource activities
  • Acts as an external consultant by analyzing and recommending solutions to human resource issues for our clients
  • Develops, revises, and implements HR policies and procedures for our clients
  • Ensures the client is in compliance with other established policies and procedures and with any relevant federal, state, or local legislation for our clients
  • May process payroll for our clients on the client’s HCM system
  • Assists in the planning and organizing strategic HR direction for our clients
  • Answers non-routine requests for information on policy interpretation for our clients
  • Assists with developing, coordinating, and recommending changes for the improvement of workflow for our clients
  • Develops methods and procedures for compiling and analyzing data for reports and special projects for our clients
  • Conducts periodic audits of human resource activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures for our clients
  • Works on special projects
  • Leads special and cross-functional project teams
  • Presents training sessions for our clients
  • Attends meetings, conferences, and seminars as needed/requested
