Description We are currently seeking an organized and detail-oriented HR/Payroll Clerk to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, maintaining employee records, and providing administrative support to the Human Resources department. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in processing bi-weekly payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and timely submission - Maintain and update employee records, including personal information, job titles, salary adjustments, and benefits enrollment - Assist with onboarding new employees, including preparing offer letters, conducting background checks, and assigning access to systems - Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and company policies - Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and terminations - Support the HR team with various administrative tasks, such as scheduling meetings, filing, and data entry - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and employment laws and regulations Requirements - High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus - 1-2 years of experience in payroll processing or HR administration - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel - Familiarity with payroll software and HRIS systems - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
