Our client is looking for a detail-oriented HR & Payroll Coordinator to join their People team. This role provides hands-on support across payroll, benefits, and HR operations. You’ll help keep employee data accurate, support payroll preparation, answer employee questions, and assist with reporting that drives better decisions. If you enjoy balancing numbers, processes, and people support, this role offers a mix of it all.
This position will be a hybrid model. 3 days in office in central Edmonton and 2 days from home.

Responsibilities

HR Operations

  • Maintain accurate employee records across HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping systems (ADP, SharePoint).
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide general support to the People team.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding tasks, ensuring smooth processes and accurate data entry.

Payroll Support

  • Review payroll inputs for ADP processing.
  • Assist with reconciliations and troubleshooting discrepancies as needed.
  • Help prepare payroll documentation for audits and compliance.

Benefits Support

  • Process employee benefit changes and maintain accurate records.
  • Work with external vendors to resolve employee questions.
  • Support annual benefits renewals and communication to employees.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Prepare workforce and payroll reports using Excel and other tools.
  • Validate data for accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Assist with ad hoc data requests from HR and Finance.

What You Bring

  • 3 years of experience in HR and/or payroll support.
  • Strong Excel skills are required (formulas, pivot tables; macros).
  • Familiarity with ADP Workforce Now and SharePoint is an asset.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Clear communicator with a service-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of Canadian payroll and/or benefits administration is an asset.
