OVERVIEW

Golden Gate Petroleum is hiring a Human Resources and Payroll Coordinator. This role oversees employee onboarding, offboarding, and unemployment insurance claims. The Coordinator will collaborate with the HR team to support various human resources and payroll needs. The person in this position will help ensure a smooth employee experience by addressing questions and concerns related to the hiring process, system access, and other HR and payroll matters.

EXPERIENCE

  • Work experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Experience with iSolved HCM/Payday Platform is a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and collect termination information to respond to multi-state UI claims. Initiate, monitor, assist, and complete the onboarding process for all prospective employees in the Payday HRIS.
  • ADA and FMLA under the supervision of the HR Manager
  • Process background checks for prospective employees and perform a preliminary review of results, escalating issues and questionable results to the HR Manager for final decision.
  • Support recruitment efforts by coordinating job postings
  • Communicate pre-and post-adverse actions when necessary, collecting responses and reporting to the HR Manager for final decision.
  • Ensure proper completion of all regulatory hiring paperwork, including but not limited to Form I-9, employee handbook acknowledgments, and policy acknowledgments.
  • Offboard departing employees according to policy and procedure, always ensuring they get supporting documentation for terminations.
  • Track due dates for employee performance reviews, send monthly reports of Annual Performance Reviews due to appropriate managers and follow up to ensure completion.
  • Send out I-9 reminder notices to Managers and answer questions regarding this process.
  • Ensure completion of and proper filing of all Payroll and HR paperwork to appropriate personnel files and servers, including but not limited to personnel action forms (PAF), signed timecards, injury reports, doctors’ notes, etc.
  • Process PAF and PIN documents as directed by the HR Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
