We’re now looking for a HR & Payroll Officer to join our growing team at our Smeaton Grange HQ. This newly created role will support our expansion and help build out our in-house HR capabilities, providing hands-on support across the full employee lifecycle and ensuring accurate, efficient payroll for our team.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

You’ll work closely with our HR Manager to ensure a smooth and people-first experience for our employees, from onboarding through to payroll processing. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who’s excited to roll up their sleeves, own their space, and help shape the way we support our people.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing end-to-end weekly payroll across all employee types, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Interpreting Modern Awards and applying wage rates, allowances, and entitlements correctly.
  • Maintaining and reconciling payroll records, reports, and tax submissions (STP, Payroll Tax, ATO reporting).
  • Supporting HR operations including onboarding, offboarding, recruitment assistance, and employee records management.
  • Responding to employee queries on payroll, leave, and benefits in a professional and timely manner.
  • Assisting the HR Manager with employee relations matters and compliance with Fair Work obligations.
  • Helping improve HR and payroll processes to support a growing and people-focused business.
