ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a proactive and solutions-focused HR & Payroll Officer to join our HR team at Jones Radiology. Based at our Eastwood office, you will play a key part in the employee lifecycle, working across both HR and payroll functions. This role offers variety, with a focus on managing day-to-day tasks, including processing employment documentation, supporting employees with queries, or maintaining systems to ensure data integrity.

WHAT YOUR ROLE LOOKS LIKE:

HR:

  • Oversee processes relating to onboarding, offboarding and staff movements.
  • Provide support with recruitment and induction, ensuring new starters are prepared for a seamless commencement.
  • Oversee and track employee probationary periods, ensuring regular performance reviews are conducted, escalating concerns to the HRBP prior to the completion.
  • Manage compliance for all staff licences, clearances and registrations, including tracking expiry dates and initiating renewals as necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, to identify opportunities for improving and streamlining both new and existing workflows.
  • Support staff engagement and culture through HR initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Payroll:

  • Perform system corrections to capture any required adjustments for overtime, leave or allowances.
  • Assist with the fortnightly pay run, ensuring that employee timecards are processed and paid correctly.
  • Prepare and analyse reports for payroll and HR related functions.
  • Support teams with the continuous improvement and implementation of payroll-related systems and processes.
  • Interpretation and application of the National Employment Standards (NES), relevant Enterprise Agreements, Awards and Employment Contracts.

This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, thrives with variety, and has a customer service mindset with:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in HR and/or payroll within a medium to large organisation (healthcare industry desirable).
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business/management, or related field (desirable).
  • Experience working with payroll and HRIS systems (Oracle, Preceda and UKG desirable).
  • Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willing to obtain)
