This role plays a critical part in supporting our PNG operations by ensuring seamless coordination of HR and payroll matters with Orica Australia. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager in Lae, you will be the primary contact for all HR and payroll-related queries for PNG employees.What you will be doing As the HR/Payroll Specialist, you will: Act as the key liaison for HR and payroll matters between PNG employees and Orica Australia. Ensure timely and accurate communication of payroll data and employee information. Support the Operations Manager with HR administration and compliance. Maintain employee records and assist with onboarding processes. Provide guidance to staff on HR policies and procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve payroll or HR issues. What you will bring To be successful in this role, you will have: Proven experience in HR and/or payroll administration; Strong attention to detail and confidentiality; Excellent communication and coordination skills; Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities; Familiarity with HR systems and payroll platforms is desirable.
