KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE;

  • English and Maths GCSE or equivalent is essential
  • CIPD or other HR qualification would be an advantage
  • Recent experience in a fast-paced administration role
  • HR or Recruitment Administration experience would be an advantage as would experience of working with HR systems
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a busy workload with changing demands, prioritising accordingly
  • Ability to build rapport and good working relationships with key stakeholders across all levels
  • Able to adapt to and embrace change
  • Accurate and timely
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE;

As an HR and Recruitment Administrator you will be providing a comprehensive and effective administration service to the HR, Talent and People Development team. This role will have responsibility for all elements of HR and Recruitment Administration including sifting CVs and arranging interviews, preparing and issuing new starter documentation, and maintaining our HRIS and ATS.
To be successful in this role you must be a self-starter who consistently takes ownership and is able to prioritise accordingly. You will have the ability to communicate and build effective relationships with all levels of stakeholders. As a growing organisation there will be ample opportunity for a future progression path within the HR team, including the opportunity to study towards a fully funded CIPD qualification.
To be considered, you must have demonstrable administration skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, a previous background within HR related administration and / or HR related studies would be a distinct advantage.
This position is home based with weekly face to face team collaboration time at Head Office, therefore you must be within a reasonable travelling distance of Newcastle upon Tyne.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO;

  • Maintaining the ATS and HRIS
  • Creating and placing adverts on internal and external job boards, ensuring the highest attention to detail
  • CV sifting in relation to the hiring managers requirements, declining unsuitable candidates and flagging CV’s for hiring manager review where appropriate
  • Liaising with hiring managers for outcomes on CV’s
  • Liaising with recruitment agents as required
  • Answering candidate queries and arranging interviews / screenings
  • Liaising with line managers, regarding the completion of the induction programme
  • Manage all administrative tasks related to the entire employee cycle including offer letters, contracts and all other new starter documentation, internal changes and the leaver process
  • Generate and analyse HR reports on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Manage the running of the business wide employee recognition scheme
  • Provide administrative support to the People Development team when required
  • Support with the preparation of the monthly payroll information, liaising with the external payroll company to ensure the payroll is processed in line with agreed monthly deadlines
  • All other administration related tasks as required
