ONBOARDING & STAFF EXPERIENCE

  • Coordinate all pre-employment checks (DBS, references, right to work, etc.) and issue

induction documentation.

  • Deliver or support delivery of new starter inductions and follow-up on probationary reviews.
  • Manage welcome communications, access to systems, and centre introductions to ensure a

smooth onboarding experience.

  • Assist with scheduling and tracking mandatory and CPD training.

EXPERIENCE

Experience in a recruitment, HR, or talent coordination role - Essential
Experience working in education, care, or a youth-focused setting - Desirable
Experience conducting interviews and onboarding new staff - Essential
Knowledge of safer recruitment and vetting procedures - Essential

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

As the HR, Recruitment & Talent Coordinator, you will lead on end-to-end recruitment and onboarding of new team members, maintain effective HR systems and compliance records, and support workforce development by helping to identify, attract, and retain top educational talent. You will play a vital role in building a strong, values-led team culture aligned with our mission to support young people through alternative education.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

  • Manage the full recruitment cycle from advertising roles to onboarding successful

candidates.

  • Write and post engaging job adverts, using both traditional and creative methods to attract a diverse pool of applicants.
  • Lead on candidate screening, shortlisting, scheduling interviews, and issuing offer letters.
  • Carry out proactive head-hunting via social media, job boards, and networks to identify

high-potential candidates for specialist and hard-to-fill roles.

  • Maintain and update the applicant tracking system.
  • Support senior leaders in identifying talent gaps and future recruitment needs.
