We are looking for an experienced and proactive HR and Recruitment Coordinator to join our growing HR team based in Calgary. This is a diverse role that supports the hiring and onboarding process, including HRIS management and process improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Post Secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2-4+ years of HR experience, with a focus on HRIS administration and recruitment, ideally within the Engineering or Construction sectors.
  • Experience with Dayforce (Ceridian) HRIS is required.
  • Strong understanding of ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) and recruitment best practices.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and be proactive.

Responsibilities

Dayforce HRIS Administration

  • Manage and maintain Dayforce HRIS, ensuring accurate employee data entry, updates, and reporting.
  • Assist with system configurations, troubleshooting, and user support for HR, payroll, and timekeeping functions.
  • Generate HR reports, dashboards, and analytics to support workforce planning and compliance.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping in compliance with HR policies and regulations.
  • Work closely with payroll and benefits teams to ensure seamless HRIS integration.

Recruitment

  • Coordinate the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
  • Utilize Dayforce Recruiting Module to track applicants and streamline the hiring process.
  • Conduct initial phone screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managers.
  • Maintain a talent pipeline and develop innovative sourcing strategies to attract top candidates.
  • Support employer branding initiatives, including social media, career fairs, and networking events.
  • Supports the grant management process.

HR Support & Employee Engagement

  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for employees.
  • Provide general HR administrative support, including policy and process implementation, employee inquiries, and compliance tracking.
  • Support HR projects related to processes improvement, employee engagement, equity, diversity and inclusion, and company culture.
