Description

Full job description

We are a small, ambitious and growing business looking for an experienced HR & Resourcing Manager to work closely with the directors and play a key role in the company’s next stage of growth. As a growing organisation with a lean existing team, this is not a traditional HR management position overseeing a large established HR department. Instead, we are looking for someone with substantial HR and recruitment experience who can build our people function, support business growth and develop Recruitment & Resourcing as an important new vertical of the company.

The successful candidate will combine strategic HR experience with a hands-on and commercially focused approach to recruitment and resourcing.

Key Responsibilities

* Work directly with the directors to develop and implement the company’s people, recruitment and workforce strategy.

* Build appropriate HR processes, policies and systems to support the company as it grows.

* Lead recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training and employee development.

* Identify current and future workforce and skills requirements.

* Establish and develop the company’s Recruitment & Resourcing vertical.

* Develop a network of clients requiring permanent and contract resources.

* Understand client requirements and translate them into effective candidate sourcing strategies.

* Source, assess, shortlist and introduce suitable candidates.

* Build and maintain candidate databases and specialist talent pipelines.

* Develop relationships with businesses, hiring managers, candidates and professional networks.

* Establish effective processes covering candidate sourcing, screening, compliance, placement and ongoing relationship management.

* Work with the directors to develop the commercial strategy for the recruitment/resourcing operation.

* Identify new business opportunities and contribute to client acquisition and business development.

* Monitor recruitment activity, placements and candidate pipelines and provide appropriate management information.

* Support organisational development as the company’s internal workforce expands.

* Develop employee engagement, retention, training and wellbeing initiatives.

* Ensure HR and recruitment practices comply with relevant UK employment legislation and company policies.

About You

We are looking for an experienced HR professional who enjoys building and developing functions rather than simply maintaining established processes.

The ideal candidate will have:

* Significant HR management or senior HR advisory experience.

* Strong experience in recruitment and talent acquisition.

Pay: £48,000.00-£55,000.00 per year

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Reading
