Primary Accountabilities
This role will be a critical HR leader within our affiliate, driving the systems and employee engagement tools that enable our business. The HR Reward leader will lead the US and Canadian benefits design. Leveraging our outstanding network of brokers and administrators you will communicate key benefit programs including health, dental, life insurance and leave administration.
You will also be the source expert for our HRIS systems (Workday and ADP), ensuring data integrity and enhancing workday options for recruiting and onboarding.
This role will also lead our compensation efforts and manage our Payroll Specialist. Together, you prioritize projects including upgrading our vendor system connectivity (API) and automating strategic and compliance related reporting.

Role/ Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day administration of the Company’s benefits program including plan design, employee enrollment, assist with complex claims resolution and handle all invoicing.
  • Responsible for US and Canadian payroll efforts, directly manage the team and respond to payroll escalations, weighing in on complex topics including state and federal tax guidelines, workmans compensation and internal Finance reconciliation.
  • Drive the 401K and Retirement Savings Committee, including quarterly reviews, program enhancements and vendor administration.
  • Develop a strategy and execute plans to create an effective, lean and efficient HR operational environment, a Workday system expert, you will ensure correct data and improve the existing links and integrations from Workday to ADP, Payworks and other partners.
  • Serves as the organization leader for HR systems, key data, analytics, and standard and specialized reporting.
  • Partner with HR and business leaders to evaluate the current job classification scheme, incorporate global structure and make recommendations.
  • Drive processes related to the HR annual budget including total rewards, benefit expenses, training & development and salary planning.
  • This is a cross-functional role that requires close collaboration with members of the Human Resources team and leaders across the company including our Corporate HR and HRIS teams. Close alignment with legal and finance is imperative as you contribute directly to the headcount costing and operating budget process.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of benefits and payroll experience, working with benefits brokers, understanding federal guidelines to influence programs and plan employee communications.
  • Expert level understanding of Workday, working across Workday modules and creating system synergies including API with vendors and external applications.
  • Business analytics mindset, able to query and manipulate data at a high level using excel or google sheets
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources or Finance preferred or equivalent experience required
  • A “people first” professional with the ability to communicate and interact well across levels and prioritize multiple priorities including those escalated directly by employees.
  • Solid interpersonal and influencing skills, ability to handle and resolve complex issues.
