Pro Signs, a 79-year-old signage and branding company based in Downingtown, PA, is seeking an HR & Safety Compliance Officer.   As one of the largest full-service sign companies in the Mid-Atlantic, Pro Signs specializes in regional and national account work as well as local architectural signage projects. Pro Signs is supported by a dedicated team of Project Managers, hard-working fabricators and installers.   We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR & Safety Compliance Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring our organization remains compliant with employment legislation, workplace safety regulations, and internal policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting our people strategy while fostering a safe, compliant, and positive work environment.   Key Responsibilities   Human Resources Compliance * Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations * Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook * Oversee employee onboarding and offboarding processes * Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation * Support recruitment, performance management, and employee relations processes * Manage disciplinary and grievance procedures in line with company policy * Payroll and PTO management * Compensation and benefits audit and analysis * Benefits (401k, PTO, healthcare) management * Strict adherence to confidentiality and ability to handle sensitive information Health and Safety Compliance * Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation * Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures * Conduct risk assessments and workplace inspections * Lead incident investigations and maintain safety records * Coordinate safety training and emergency preparedness programs * Liaise with regulatory bodies and manage audits or inspections * Promote a strong safety culture across the organization * OSHA Certified, compliance, log, and OSHA management * Maintain Pro Sign safety committee * Maintain Energy Control Plan (Lock out/Tag out) Qualifications & Experience * Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field * 3-5 years’ experience in HR and/or safety compliance roles * Strong knowledge of employment legislation and workplace safety regulations * Experience managing audits and regulatory reporting * HR certification (e.g., SHRM, CIPD) or Safety certification (e.g., OSHA) preferred * Excellent organizational and documentation skills * Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities * Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities   Pro Signs offers health insurance, PTO, paid holidays, 401k (with match), and a professional but family-oriented atmosphere.
