Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI) has an opportunity for a HR Senior Manager to join the HR team.
This is a senior role within the HR Function and is responsible for the planning and delivery of HR services which meet the needs of the organisation; ensures the efficient running of the department and supports the implementation of IFI’s People Strategy and annual business plans.
The post holder will have direct line management of 5.0 FTEs.

EMPLOYEE RELATIONS/INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS
- Ensure that there is effective management of ER/IR casework, and it is managed promptly and effectively seeking ways to ensure it is resolved at the lowest possible level.
- Support the Head of Human Resources in developing a positive employee relations climate, working with Trade Unions to ensure that all stakeholders work together and move forward in the best interest of management and staff.
- Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on HR matters, supporting managers in dealing with complex issues, performance, attendance, and employee relations issues.
- Ensure the HR Department is represented appropriately at various stages of discipline, grievance or performance/capability cases including final appeals and ensure that effective notetaking skills are deployed at each of the various stages by those HR staff attending meetings.
- When necessary, directly manage ER/IR casework which is considered by the Head of HR to be unusually high risk and to support the team with the ER/IR workload.
- Take responsibility for and carry out negotiations, consultations and discussions with trade unions as required.
- Represent IFI at third party hearings as required.
