Your leadership and guidance will be critical to a team of 7 FTEs supporting a headcount of 1500 employees. Key Accountabilities: Deep understanding of Japan payroll processing Deep understanding of Japan Labour Laws, Statutory Laws and Country Governance Implement People solutions and Experience strategies that align with APAC business objectives, aiming to streamline HR processes, elevate employee experiences, and reduce regional service costs. Collaborate closely with other HR teams to understand business needs and adapt operations accordingly. Manage comprehensive HR operations, spanning administration, payroll, and internal customer support, to ensure compliance, service satisfaction, and overall business value. Oversee vendor strategy in the region and work towards achieving predefined targets. Lead and cultivate the professional development of the team, fostering a culture of operational excellence through effective organizational design, service delivery, customer centricity, employee engagement, and capability enhancement. Contribute significantly to shaping and executing APAC People solutions and service delivery strategies. Identify operational needs and oversee the setup and maintenance of HR and Payroll processes, systems, and support structures. Collaborate with HR product owners, technology teams, and Process Excellence to facilitate continuous improvement. Benchmark JLL's operations against industry best practices to ensure they remain cutting-edge, while establishing yourself as a thought leader in the field of HR operations. Champion HR change initiatives and transformational efforts that positively impact the broader business landscape. Skills & Competencies: Technical Skills: Deep knowledge and proficiency of Japan Payroll and HR systems such as Workday and others relevant to the role. Proven experience executing process and system projects and implementations. Demonstrated capacity to collaborate closely with Senior HRBPs in a multifaceted HR capacity. Extensive vendor management expertise. Recognized thought leadership in the domain of HR operations. Interpersonal Skills: Strategic mindset with the ability to envision long-term goals. Robust leadership qualities, including the capacity to motivate and inspire teams. Adeptness in forging strategic partnerships and alliances. Exceptional communication proficiency and stakeholder management abilities. Fluent in English at a business level and native fluency in Japanese. Documented success in managing and elevating the performance of Operations and Customer Service teams. Sound decision-making capabilities, particularly in high pressured situations. Results-driven approach coupled with strong cross-functional coordination skills. Proficient in recommending and enacting appropriate courses of action based on established policies, procedures, and business norms. A consistent track record exhibiting high ethical standards and personal integrity. Ability to remain impartial and composed in tense or contentious environments. Qualifications/Experience/Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a closely related field. A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in HR Operations, with a focus on payroll and systems management. A proven history of successfully leading teams and individuals to achieve organizational objectives.
