Position Overview:

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The HR Services Specialist will provide a centralized point of contact and expertise for company associates to ask questions and gain assistance.
The role operates on a schedule aligned with Pacific Standard Time (PST). Applicants must be able to consistently work during PST business hours.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
  • 1-3 years HR experience
  • Experience in HR or Shared Service Operations (insourced or outsourced), preferred
  • Experience in a general or benefit specialist HR function, preferred
  • Familiarity with HR applications, Workday & ServiceNow experience preferred
  • Must be based in Pacific time zone, or willing to work Pacific time zone hours
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English - preferred

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Serve as the primary responder for the HR Services phone line, handling inbound associate inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, timekeeping, and general support.
  • Prepared to respond to inquiries that might include benefit enrollment, benefit administration, Leave of Absence, HR Systems, payroll/time & attendance and Verification of Employment.
  • Triage and escalate calls or cases as needed, ensuring timely and professional handling of all HR-related questions.
  • Ability to search for information in the knowledge base system and update as needed to ensure accuracy.
  • Respond to associate and manager inquiries submitted via ServiceNow ensuring SLAs are met.
  • Effectively communicate a clear and concise response to resolve inquiries accurately. Document service request details into ServiceNow for quality case management.
  • Assist associates during the benefit enrollment (new hire, life event and open enrollment) process.
  • Support managers with Manager Self Service activities in Workday.
  • Process associate changes submitted in Workday, ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
  • Respond to inquiries for information from other HR teams, including Field Support and Field HR leadership.
  • Be curious by troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Support continuous process improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities and developing solutions.
  • Execute effective workforce administration, covering associate lifecycle events and exit administration.
  • Enter accurate data updates in the HR system and provide information in the form of reports, evidence and data to control functions such as Litigation, Employment, Legal, and Compliance
  • Analyze service requests prior to completing transactions to maintain data integrity.
  • Own HR processes that are administered by the HRST, such as I-9, leave administration, position management, new hire kits, and court orders.
