EDUCATION:

  • Associates degree or minimum of 60 college credit hours/bachelor’s degree (preferred).

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:

  • Proficiency in keyboarding and file maintenance.
  • Frequent Travel to Bob Hope School campuses on a needed basis.
  • Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing.
  • Multi-tasked oriented.
  • Spelling, concepts of grammar, word processing/typing.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills.
  • Detailed-oriented and working with detailed information/data.
  • Reading, comprehension, and ability to perform basic mathematics.
  • Ability to read, speak, and understand English.
  • Working as part of a team.
  • Maintain confidentiality.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish fluency) preferred.
  • Able to communicate with faculty, staff, and administrators in a courteous and professional manner.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY PURPOSE

Provide support for daily human resources operations. Handle routine HR inquiries and provide responsive and knowledgeable assistance to employees.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Handle routine HR inquiries to ensure a high level of service and responsive, knowledgeable support for employees and their supervisors. Explain HR Policies and practives to employees as appropriate.
  • Maintain HR information database to ensure that employee information is accurate, current, and reliable.
  • Receive and process applications, including verifying completeness of files and notifying those not selected for employment.
  • Assist HR recruiter coordinator with position control system in an accurate and timely manner. Reconcile job description with position control to ensure that there is a job description for every job. Follow up with supervisors to make certain that job descriptions are reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
  • Process new hire paperwork including criminal history information, references, and other application materials
