JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role is essential in managing various HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, and benefits administration. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of human capital management and employment laws, ensuring compliance while fostering a positive workplace culture. This position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.

EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on HR experience, independently managing core HR functions.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws (e.g., FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO).
  • Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar).
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and handle confidential information with integrity.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee talent acquisition processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding new employees.
  • Manage employee orientation programs to ensure smooth integration into the company culture.
  • Administer employee evaluations and performance management systems to support workforce development.
  • Provide guidance on FMLA, workers’ compensation, and other employment-related matters.
  • Implement change management strategies to facilitate organizational transitions.
  • Maintain HRIS for accurate data entry and reporting on employee records.
  • Develop and execute strategic planning initiatives related to workforce management and organization design.
  • Foster positive employee relations by addressing conflicts and promoting effective communication within teams.
  • Coordinate benefits administration, ensuring employees are informed about available options.
  • Support training and development programs to enhance employee skills and career advancement opportunities.
  • Utilize various HR tools such as ATS, Workday, Paychex, Dayforce, Oracle HCM, Salesforce, ADP, iCIMS, SAP SuccessFactors, PeopleSoft, Ceridian for efficient HR operations.
