Edgerton Contractors, a construction, and excavation company that specializes in earthwork, underground utilities, and design assist projects, is looking for an HR Specialist.
The ideal candidate embodies the company culture and mission and delivers results.
The Human Resource Specialist role is responsible for performing day-to-day human resource related tasks such as onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations and compliance reporting and record keeping. This role may also include the same for 3rd party companies.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Responsibilities
  • Onboarding of New Employees
  • Conduct new employee orientation
  • Introducing new employees to offered benefits
  • Administer new employee training
  • Maintain and update employee contact information, ensuring accuracy, and updating company-issued phones
  • Compensation and Benefits
  • Maintain employee coverage changes
  • Stay up to date with retirement plan law changes
  • Participate in compensation committee - review reasonable pay rates
  • Employee Relations and Performance Management
  • Serve as point of contact for employees’ inquiries related to HR policies, benefits and procedures.
  • Manage performance review process
  • Provide guidance and resolution for personnel related issues with operations and legal departments
  • Conduct background checks specific to new hires or project requirements
  • Coordinate random Union drug screens as required
  • Annual Compliance Reporting and Records
  • Submit annual government reporting and annual limit changes
  • Maintain WI Driver reporting system
  • Coordinate CDL testing and file management
  • Keep CDL list up to date and annually review non-CDL driver records
  • Compile and submit USDOT annual reporting
  • Report EEO information to state and federal agencies as required
  • Manage employee files in Viewpoint Vista including safety training documents and refreshers
  • Other duties as assigned
