About Geeks On-Site Geeks On-Site is a nationwide technology installation and service company, partnering with leading brands to power thousands of onsite installations every month. This role will be a core part of our HR division, supporting our rapidly growing network of 1099 and W2 technicians across the United States. Role Summary The HR Specialist will support the Head of HR in managing daily HR operations, with a strong focus on technician communications, scheduling notices, onboarding guidance, and support using internal systems. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a human-centered approach, and the ability to create structure, documentation, and process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Act as the main point of contact for technicians for HR-related communication (schedules, status changes, onboarding reminders, system access, etc.). Make outbound calls and answer inbound calls from technicians regarding documentation and onboarding steps. Provide guidance and training to technicians and internal staff on the use of internal systems, including Zoho FSM, Zoho Shifts, Airtable, and other process tools. Support communication to internal team members regarding staffing updates, deployments, and operational changes. Assist in the creation and refinement of documentation, SOPs, and HR processes that enhance operational clarity and efficiency. Track, update, and maintain HR records and Airtable databases with accuracy and attention to detail. Assist with onboarding of technicians and internal staff, ensuring completeness of documents and compliance standards. Support HR audits, quality control, and follow-ups on pending policy acknowledgments or checklist tasks. Maintain professionalism and empathy when assisting technicians and team members. Required 2+ years in HR support, coordination, or similar administrative role. Strong phone communication skills — comfortable making and receiving multiple calls daily. Experience working with Airtable or similar database-style tools. Excellent written and verbal communication in English. Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously. Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems quickly. Preferred (not required) Experience supporting distributed or remote teams. Knowledge of Zoho systems (FSM, Shifts) or similar workforce management tools. Experience working with 1099 contractors or high-volume staffing environments.
