We work alongside small and medium-sized businesses to deliver tailored HR support — from hands-on, on-site assistance to specialist project work. What sets us apart is our distinctive blend of operational HR, strategic thinking, and a genuinely human approach. Our 15-strong team spans generalists and specialists — including HR Generalists, Health & Safety, Psychologists, Employment Relations, and a dedicated Recruitment team (Executive level included). Job Description We're growing, and that means opportunity. We're looking for a talented HR Specialist to join our team — someone who thrives on building strong relationships with clients and making a real difference to their business. Qualifications 5+ years of HR advisory or Business Partner experience across generalist HR — recruitment, L&D, performance, remuneration, and ER Solid knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and the confidence to apply it Strong analytical ability and sound project management skills A natural ability to establish credibility and confidence with clients quickly High professionalism, attention to detail, and a grounded, down-to-earth style Exceptional initiative — you're self-managing, responsive, and proactive Technical savviness and comfort navigating HR systems Flexibility, composure under pressure, and a good sense of humour Additional Information Why HR Connect? 23 years of proven expertise Genuine, values-led team culture Multi-region and industry client variety Flexibility to suit your lifestyle Meaningful, impactful work Competitive contract rate Sound like you?
