OVERVIEW:

The HR Specialist will play a critical role in managing and executing various HR functions, including recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and compliance. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 1 year’ experience in a similar role, preferably in the trucking and warehousing industry.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
    Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
    Contract length: 12 months
    Pay: $41,600.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with department managers to understand staffing needs and align recruitment efforts accordingly.
  • Foster a positive workplace culture by promoting employee engagement and team-building activities.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze feedback to improve employee retention.
  • Actively participate in the ongoing initiatives and committees and represent the HR team in the Safety Committee and Social Committee.
  • Conduct data collection and analysis to support HR initiatives and improve processes.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and address employee inquiries regarding policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
