JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a hands-on HR Specialist to manage day-to-day HR functions at a growing early learning organization! This HR professional will oversee recruitment, onboarding, payroll coordination, employee record-keeping, compliance, and employee relations. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can keep HR operations running smoothly while escalating strategic or complex issues to leadership when necessary.

SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, ideally in business or business administration.
  • 3–5 years of HR experience including talent acquisition, operations, and employee relations.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish!
  • Comfortable working full-time onsite in downtown Boston.

Responsibilities
  • Manage recruitment: post jobs, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and conduct onboarding.
  • Facilitate pre-employment processes including background and reference checks.

  • Support employee benefits enrollment and respond to benefits-related questions.
  • Address employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and assist with disciplinary actions.
  • Manage leave administration ensuring compliance and accurate tracking.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
  • Respond to HR inquiries and generate reports to support management decisions.
