Description

The Siegwerk HR Specialist will be a dynamic, organized self-starter that is focused on the employee experience and driven by a high level of organization. This is a hands-on role that provides the Human Resources department support and is critical in executing our people initiatives, providing great internal customer support and driving HR functional excellence with a continuous improvement mindset.

  • Onboarding in the HRIS and Paychex systems: initiate paperwork for new employees, enters new employees in the system, updates employee information, etc
  • Responsible for processing all payrolls, managing all reports for payroll including and not limited to managing garnishments and tax levies
  • Manage FMLA, STD and LTD leave administration
  • Work with payroll vendor for continuous improvement and compliance (internally and externally) of payroll process
  • Ensures data integrity in HRIS (SuccessFactors/SAP/Paychex Flex) system including entry of employee status changes etc
  • Assists with internal and external inquiries related to benefits, PTO, policies, etc.
  • Responsible for the organization of all HR department records and initial creation of confidential employment files
  • Completes, verifies and maintains all I-9 files.
  • Submits online investigation requests and assists with new-employee background checks and drug tests
  • Conduct new hire orientations as needed
  • Train HR team and managers on C&B processes
  • Create and distribute termination reports and processing employee termination in HR systems
  • Sends termination paperwork to exiting employees
  • Serve as E-Verify and Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) administrator
  • Manage timecards/hours for new employees
  • Process and Track Educational reimbursement as needed
  • Assist with the Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Run various reports relating to State Unemployment Insurance, Disability, IA Workforce Development etc
  • May assist with the complete process of recruiting of non-exempt roles.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university with 3+ years of experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years working with Paychex Flex HRIS software (preferred)
  • Experience with SuccessFactors/SAP HRIS system (preferred)
  • Intermediate - Advanced skilled in MS Office including Word, Excel and Power Point, previous experience with HRIS.
  • Good analytical skills and reasoning capability
    This role is 100% onsite, Monday-Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 p
