Job Title: Part-Time HR Specialist
Location: Minnetonka, MN
Job Type: Part-Time, 24 hours a week.
Reports To: [Executive Director]

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time HR Specialist to support the day-to-day operations of our Human Resources department. This role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is looking for flexible work hours. The HR Generalist will play a key role in supporting employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, and other HR functions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in human resources
  • 3+ years of experience in an HR Specialist or similar HR role
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices and employment laws
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • High level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Proficiency with HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a part-time role
  • Experience with ADP workforce now
    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
    Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 24 per week

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs
  • Support full-cycle recruitment including job postings, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and assisting with offer letters
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparing documentation and conducting orientations
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and ensure compliance with company and legal requirements
  • Support leadership in benefits administration and open enrollment processes
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and events
  • Monitor and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and internal policies
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department as needed, including preparing reports and maintaining documentation
  • Assist with performance review cycles and training initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
