Description
* The candidate must be a resident of Aqaba Objective: Develops policies and directs and coordinates human resources activities, such as employment, compensation benefits, training, and employee relations by performing the following duties. Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as needed): Plans and coordinates staffing activities for hourly and salaried positions. Conducts new employee orientations and monitors progress of new employees. Performs exit interviews. Provides assistance to employees and supervisors in solving work-related problems. Evaluates the issue and meets with supervisors and managers to determine effective remediation techniques, such as job skills training or personal intervention, to resolve human relations issues among personnel. Ensures employees have necessary information regarding their benefits. Acts as company representative at unemployment and workers’ compensation hearings. Conducts wage survey within labor market to determine competitive wage rates and makes recommendation to management. Maintains and monitors workers’ compensation case files and prepares safety performance and OSHA reports. Assists in coordinating treatment and return to work for injured employees. Develops and conducts training to instruct organization managers, supervisors, and employees in areas such as supervisory skills, interviewing techniques, conflict resolution skills, and effective group interaction skills. Coordinates EEO/Affirmative Action Program at the plant. Maintains necessary records and reports. Completes annual report. Provides training to supervisors and managers. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in human resources is required. Master’s degree in business or human resources is preferred. Three to five years human resources experience in an industrial environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Technical Competencies: Personnel laws and affirmative action/EEOC requirements. Recruitment and selection techniques. Compensation and benefits administration. Training and development techniques and evaluation, along with employee counseling techniques. Non-technical Competencies: Leadership (team development, ability to influence). People development (assessment of others, feedback/coaching, delegation, motivating others, performance management, communicating expectations). Interpersonal skills (relationship building, teamwork, interpersonal insight, conflict resolution, customer orientation).
