SUMMARY:

We’re looking for a motivated temporary Human Resources Support Clerk to assist our HR field Management team within the retail discount banner with various administrative tasks and HR initiatives. The role will act as a liason between HR and Store Operations, Health & Safety and Labour Relations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a support or administrative role
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Must be able to prioritize and multi-task
Responsibilities

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide administrative support to the Director of HR and HR Field Managers.
  • Process and update weekly reports.
  • Facilitate and communicate employee promotions within the bargaining unit to Stores and the Union weekly.
  • Coordinate paperwork for Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager promotions.
  • Arrange and conduct Management Orientation meetings.
  • Track grievances, and harassment complaints in Excel.
  • Prepare and release registered letters to employees.
  • Schedule meetings and interviews with employees as directed by the HR Field Management Team.
  • Look up basic employee data in SAP and verify employee schedules in Kronos.
  • Assist with special projects and other tasks as needed.
