ABOUT THE ROLE

As HR Systems Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and developing our core HR platforms, with iTrent being the main system. You’ll lead a dedicated team, ensuring our systems are efficient, secure, and aligned with our strategic goals.
You’ll work closely with internal departments, IT & Digital, and external providers to drive system enhancements, support workforce planning, and ensure business continuity. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of HR technology in a large, complex organisation.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Managing and maintaining key HR systems to ensure optimal performance and integration.
  • Leading system upgrades, enhancements, and structural changes across the Council and maintained schools.
  • Overseeing system governance, compliance, and contract management.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to improve processes and resolve complex system issues.
  • Developing data dashboards and ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Driving innovation and continuous improvement in HR technology.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • Substantial experience managing HR systems which includes iTrent in a local authority or similar environment.
  • Proven leadership skills and experience managing a small team.
  • Strong knowledge of system governance, compliance, and business continuity.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
