Our Human Resources Department is responsible to deliver high quality HR services to all EMBL personnel working at EMBL Headquarters in Heidelberg and its 5 sites across Europe. We are looking for a motivated individual who is interested in gaining experience in HR administration and excited by the challenge of providing an excellent service in a stimulating international environment.
The HR Talent Acquisition team is split across two sites, Heidelberg and Hinxton supporting over 2000 staff members across 6 sites. The Head of Talent Acquisition is based in Heidelberg along with three HR Talent Acquisition Partners and one Assistant.
In this role, you will support and work closely with the Talent Acquisition team responsible for the full recruitment process, managing approx. 350 hirings a year. The team provides high quality services and works closely with assigned EMBL units and hiring managers whilst delivering comprehensive recruitment and related HR advice and support in line with internal guidelines and procedures.
2025 is an exciting time for our HR team as we just implemented a new ERP system across EMBL’s 6 sites. Delivering modern HR practices with and increased efficiencies will enable the team to focus on what matters most, our people.

Previous relevant work experience, ideally gained from an international environment is advantageous. A good working knowledge of German, French and/or Spanish or Italian.
