This role partners with leaders and teammates to ensure HR practices align with Nucor values, applicable laws, and business needs. Recruitment & Selection Draft, revise, and post job requisitions for hourly, salaried, and technical roles Develop structured interview guides aligned with competencies Coordinate candidate screening, interviews, and hiring decisions Partner with managers on hiring recommendations Benchmark job postings with other Nucor divisionsEmployee Relations & HR Consulting Serve as a primary HR resource for leaders Conduct investigations and provide compliant recommendations Support accommodation and interactive process discussions Provide guidance on performance, discipline, and job changes Make recommendations on Workers Compensation casesCompensation & Compliance Provide guidance on wage and hour practices Support job classifications and pay practices Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and California and Federal law Training & Development Coordinate onboarding and orientation Monitor training completion and compliance Support leadership development programs Maintain and troubleshoot LMS systems Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of progressive HR experience including employee relations and recruiting Knowledge of California employment laws Working knowledge of workers compensation and litigated cases Preferred Qualifications: Experience in manufacturing with a 24/7 operation SuccessFactors and Ceridian Dayforce experience Bilingual Experience with reporting in PowerBI Experience with AI technology   Nucor is an Equal Opportunity Employer and a drug-free workplace
