Your role:

As Senior Expert – Executive and Board Compensation, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs, with a strong emphasis on Executive Board remuneration. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure our compensation strategies align with business goals and governance standards. This position offers frequent interaction with senior management and the Executive Board, allowing you to contribute your expertise in attracting and retaining top leadership talent.

  • Develop, implement, and manage a competitive Executive Board Compensation System with the highest standards of quality and precision. Ensure alignment with the organization’s priorities and business strategy while maintaining full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Prepare clear, concise decision proposals for the Executive Board and Personnel Committee, based on relevant internal and external data, business requirements, and legal considerations.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of market and industry trends to ensure our compensation systems remain competitive and equitable across the organization.
  • Stay informed about German and international corporate governance practices, legal requirements, and trends affecting executive compensation. Proactively participate in external networks to gather insights and ensure best practices are implemented.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of our compensation programs, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
  • Manage and administer the entire Executive Board compensation cycle by facilitating target setting processes and performance assessment. This includes conducting required analyses and creating compensation-related communication and formal compensation statements for Executives and the Executive Board, ensuring appropriate employee experience.
  • Take a leading role in developing and coordinating the Compensation Report and other external communication materials. Actively contribute to investor engagements on compensation topics, including supporting presentations and Q&A sessions. Work closely with Investor Relations to foster shareholder understanding and support for the company’s executive compensation approach.
  • Collaborate effectively with key internal stakeholders (including Legal, Tax, HR, Investor Relations, the Executive Board, and Personnel Committee members) to align compensation strategies with organizational goals and maintain regulatory compliance.

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Legal, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in HR / Rewards in a global environment, focusing on executive / board compensation, preferably in a German corporate governance setting
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate compensation principles, (German) corporate governance, and legal requirements related to executive compensation
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in benchmarking and compensation analysis tools
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience in conveying complex information to executive-level audiences
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management across various functions, including senior management and Executive Board interaction
  • Strong business acumen with ability to align compensation strategies to organizational objectives
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines
  • Digital mindset with a proactive, self-starter approach
  • Fluency in English and German
