Our client, a leading Global OEM Automated Machine Designer is currently looking for a HR Workforce Business Partner to join their growing team. They are a Canadian organization that has been in operation for the last 60 years serving markets in North America, South America, Europe and Asia.
HR Workforce Business Partner works as part of the HR Advisory Team to support decision makers, primarily based in the Americas region. Working in partnership with Leaders, Regional HR teams and Centers of Excellence (COE), the individual ensures alignment of the business and HR strategies with a focus on change management, workforce planning, talent acquisition and performance management/employee relations.
In this role, you will act as a change agent for organization transformation, offering guidance, recommendations and agile support. You will also manage deliverables within the Human Resources (HR) team for the launch of various initiatives. As a key member of the HR team, you will actively participate in program and project development, disseminate project information and serve as an active participant in project-related work groups and committees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Related post-secondary education and/or CHRP designation.
  • Minimum 3-7+ years of experience in an HR environment, ideally in a global manufacturing/engineering organization.
  • Project management experience with talent programs, ideally 3-5 years of experience in a global, matrix work environment.
  • Comfortable with working across multiple Business Units, setting expectations and managing competing priorities.
  • Collaborative, flexible and adaptable.
  • Has a passion for innovation and maintains knowledge of progressive HR practices and key trends.
  • Ability to speak Spanish or Portuguese is a big asset but not required.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
  • Strong data analysis using Microsoft Excel.
  • Solid experience with Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the business strategy by helping business leaders to identify, prioritize, and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
  • Build strong working relationships with leaders at all levels and ensure the right people decisions are made on a consistent basis.
  • Workforce plan implementation by supporting leadership in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the business strategy.
  • Support talent management and development programs and initiatives through the organization, including: development and retention plans for top talent and/or critical roles and performance management strategies by providing team members with development opportunities that align with current and future business and individual goals.
  • Proactively identify, coach and develop leaders in real time, including providing 360 assessment debriefs and development planning assistance.
  • Act as a liaison between the business and COEs within HR to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal client needs, i.e. Recruitment, Talent Management, Total Rewards and Change Management.
  • Manage conflict and employee relations issues effectively and communicate as required in a timely manner, whereby evaluating and mitigating risk to the company.
  • Aligned with our PMO office this role will participate in talent development initiatives by either leading or as an active participant.
  • Monitoring progress toward achievement and calling out potential areas of risk to launch of the program soliciting necessary assistance to overcome such obstacles.
