As the HRIS Business Analyst, you will work with internal customers to assist in research and fact-finding to develop and/or modify human resources systems, to streamline and enhance processes and procedures across the company. Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written as well as analyze and revise existing system logic and documentation as necessary. What you'll be doing: Assist internal customers in trouble shooting system issues or questions. Serve as a liaison between the subject matter experts and the HRIS technical team to solution problems. Research solution options and present to team for discussion and decision making. Ability to do light configuration in HRIS systems (Workday). Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, operations and IT, to ensure seamless integration and implementation of additions and enhancements to the system. Stay up to date on (Workday) HRIS best practices and industry trends. Reports/Queries: Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Work with the HRIS technical team on higher leveling reporting needs. May need to consult with other analysts in areas of unfamiliarity. Understand functional business requirements and deliverables for assigned work. Collaborate with business partners to document business processes and functional specifications for readability and understanding by others. Meet with users, project leaders, and management to discuss and plan guidelines and criteria for documentation of a system, program, project plan, and timelines. Conduct voice of customer sessions to learn of concerns that need to be addressed. Create effective documents that are clear, succinct, accurate, and appropriately detailed. Create and maintain application installation and troubleshooting guides for high level programs. Identify solution through collaboration to a problem and test solution against all aspects of problem as stated. Develop and perform testing on all tasks assigned to ensure proper functionality. Understand basic root-cause of problems and propose possible solutions within the scope of current Greenheck systems. Formulate and define system scope based on user needs and objectives through research and fact-finding to develop or modify simple to moderately complex information systems. Create standard to moderately complex technical design specifications from functional requirements including: system use case diagrams, data flow diagrams. May need to work with programmers to clarify spec detail during development. Manage assigned tasks and provide estimated time of completion. Work independently on small to medium-sized projects within their area of expertise. What you should have: 2 Year / Associate Degree or equivalent years of job experience required. 4 Year / Bachelor Degree preferred. 4-8 years of relevant work experience with an associate's degree or 2-6 years of relevant work experience with a bachelors degree required. Workday configuration and report writing knowledge required. Understanding of functional business requirements and deliverables for assigned work. Ability to break down work into simple tasks and understand potential downstream impacts to a solution. Ability to identify the root cause of an issue and the ability to present to HRIS technical team for fixing. Possess basic documentation skills, including the ability to document business processes, read and understand documentation created by others, and ability to create functional specifications. The starting base pay range for this position is $74,985-$114,128 and may vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
