The HRIS Specialist will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of the human resource management system(s) in addition to other systems supported by the HR function. The HRIS Specialist works to gather and document detailed requirements for business needs and translate those into technical specifications, as well as assisting subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. This role will collaborate with other team members to determine functional and/or technical solutions and designs. The analyst will also lead initiatives in HR technology innovation, data analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to support organizational goals

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (preferably in computer science, information systems, or related field).
  • 5+ years of HRIS, HR generalist, or specialist experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in HR systems implementation and lifecycle management preferred.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data, including benefits, compliance, and union experience.
  • Strong understanding of HRMS database design, structure, and functions.
  • Experience with database tools and reporting platforms.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Power BI, ADP WorkforceNow, Workday, Oracle, or SAP SuccessFactors preferred.
  • Effective organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in project-related activities and system-related projects.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and current practices.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Certifications such as PHR, SHRM-CP, or HRIM are a plus.
  • Adaptable and responsive to changing priorities.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven HR tools and automation platforms is desirable.
    Travel Requirements (Requirement): Some travel may be required.

Work Environment This position is based in a remote, home-office setting. The role requires a dedicated workspace with reliable internet access and a quiet environment conducive to focused work. The candidate must be self-motivated and able to manage boundaries between work and personal life effectively. Minimal physical requirements, primarily computer use, and communication via virtual platforms, are necessary. Flexibility to adapt to occasional scheduled video meetings and collaborative tasks is essential.
Physical Demands Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.

Responsibilities
  • Business partner with the HR global organization by leveraging system functionality and technical skills to provide user, production, and project support.
  • Support configuration, integration, and maintenance of global HR systems including ADP WorkforceNow, LinkedIn Learning, ATS, LMS, and survey tools.
  • Perform configuration and administration of core business practices, security maintenance, data loads, integrations, and upgrades.
  • Partner with HR, Learning and Development, Legal, Finance, Internal Audit, and IT to develop and deploy new functionality.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable solutions and drive implementation from end-to-end.
  • Lead change management initiatives and serve as a strategic advisor for HR technology transformation.
  • Take a collaborative and consultative approach to understand global business processes, goals, and gaps.
  • Design, build, test, and deploy intelligent and scalable solutions.
  • Serve as project manager for HR, developing, testing, implementing, and communicating new processes.
  • Develop user manuals, technical documentation, training guides, and process workflows.
  • Conduct training and develop user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
  • Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to create impactful dashboards and reports.
  • Research and analyze HR system environment to ensure process efficiency, data integrity, and SOX compliance.
  • Stay current on industry trends and recommend best practices.
  • Ensure data accuracy through audits and validation methods.
  • Facilitate planning, prioritization, design, development, and deployment of new projects and system enhancements.
  • Provide user guidance and system support as needed.
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and analytics using HRIS, ATS, LMS, and other platforms through Power BI.
  • Build advanced HR reports, dashboards, and scorecards using calculated fields, charts, and graphs.
  • Act as liaison to HR and business leads for all HR metrics.
  • Support predictive analytics and workforce planning through data modeling and trend analysis.
