HRIS Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

The HRIS specialist primary focus of this position is to support payroll and the maintenance of the human resource management system (HRMS) Ceridian Dayforce. This position serves as a technical point of contact for assigned functional areas with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.

Well organized person with strong administrative and good interpersonal skills. A person who is very dependable, and who can work independently.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience
  2. Three to five years of HRIS experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  1. The ability to complete work quickly and properly.
  2. Must have good technology, interpersonal, and organizational skills
    All new hires must complete pre-employment background check and drug test
Responsibilities
  1. HR/Payroll: Support the HR/payroll function. Update HCM system as needed with employee maintenance, and other changes. Maintain the system to keep the integrity of system accurate.
  2. System Maintenance: Review, test and implementation of HRMS upgrades or patches. Maintain HCM tables. Present new features & changes to HR department.
  3. Production Support: Provide support for HCM, including researching and resolving HCM problems, unexpected results or process flaws; performing scheduled activities; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
  4. Reports/Queries: Write, maintain and support a variety of reports or queries using appropriate reporting tools. Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing needs.
  5. Individual Development: Maintain awareness of current trends in the Ceridian Dayforce HCM with a focus on product and service development, continuously increase both HR knowledge and HCM application/tools knowledge.
  6. HR Paperwork: Processing new hire paperwork and employee changes electronically.
