Responsibilities

111. RECORDKEEPING * Responsible for ensuring that parents are following proper procedures concerning sign in/out sheet. Reports any specific problems to Center Director.

  • Responsible for attendance sheet. Ensures attendance sheet and attendance sheet match.
  • Checks classroom daily to meet license and accreditation guidelines. Reports any insufficiencies to Center Director.
  • Conducts and maintains documentation on parent/teacher conferences. Conferences will be conducted at least two times per year.
  • Collects information and prepares assessments on each child. A variety of sources should be employed to complete assessment including samples of children’s work, parent comments, and teacher anecdotal records highlighting progress in key experience areas.
  • Maintains daily classroom log/incident documentation.
  • Maintains the following in the classroom:
  • updated list of birthdays (year and month) of children enrolled in classroom
  • emergency contacts for each child
  • medical doctor name/number for each child
  • person(s) child may be released t

IV. GENERAL * Responsible for daily routine housekeeping duties in classroom and center as assigned by Center Director.

  • Shares responsibility in keeping art center shelves, book center, block center and all other classroom areas clean and organized.
  • Maintains confidentiality in all programmatic/personnel actions until directed to do otherwise.
  • Practices professional conduct in all matters.
  • Is flexible with work hours as needed according to required child-staff ratio, hours may vary according to state ratio requirements. Supervision and safety of children is considered.
  • Maintains valid driver’s license and liability insurance in order to transport children and/or to park vehicle on premises.
  • Cooperates with Center Director/staff and Central Office staff at all times. Acts as a team player.
  • Maintain and complete all OSR documentation for the purpose of ongoing assessments.
  • Work directly with OSR Coach and Monitor.
  • Plan daily as a teaching team to insure lessons are delivered that are age appropriate and meet the OSR Standard.
  • Understand and abide by all OSR Pre-k Standards.
  • Demonstrates cooperation and flexibility in performing temporary assignments and any other non-routine center related assignment as deemed necessary by the Center Director
