To work in accordance with departmental procedures and work instructions. To reprocess reusable Medical Devices in a controlled environment. To receive and prepare contaminated equipment for decontamination through automated washers. To disassemble and manually clean equipment as per manufacturers instructions ready for washing.
To reassemble and package equipment as per customer requirements. To load packaged equipment into the sterilisers, unload and despatch. To safely operate decontamination equipment and undertake routine testing as required. To clean workstations on a daily basis and dispose of clinical/household waste as required.
To report any defects or discrepancies found with the equipment to the Team Leaders. To scan instrument trays onto the Floor Management System (computerised tracking system) to enable tracing. To assist in maintaining adequate stock levels of all raw materials. To assist during departmental audits.
