We currently have an opportunity for a HSE Administrator to join our team. This position will support the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), which is a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities. The role of the HSE Administrator will be to deliver accurate and timely administration support to the HSE team and contribute to the successful and safe delivery of the Project. The role will support, coordinate and provide advice on safety practices, systems and procedures across the Redevelopment Project covering the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) and the RAAF Base Wagga. As this position is based on site at the RAAF Base Wagga Wagga, only Australian citizens will be considered for this role, as the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance. What you’ll do The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below: Communicate safety requirements to subcontractors onsite. Review Subcontractor Safety Interview Questionnaires and verify the capability of the subcontractor to deliver the required work task to agreed safety standards. Track progress against role & responsibility profiles and report on activities to project leadership team. Maintain regular visibility across the workplace, building relationships with internal stakeholders. Build awareness of a safety culture among the Project Management team and actively contribute to its development so that HSE is the primary driver of all behaviour. Support the project team to consider safety requirements throughout project planning and delivery and implement appropriate safety controls. Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes. What you’ll bring Advanced Diploma Safety in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent. Relevant experience in an administration role. Knowledge of project risk management controls and actions. Knowledge of auditing, safety inspections and compliance reporting procedures and processes. Experience in document compliance procedures and processes and understanding of technology to support SHE (Q) systems. Knowledge of incident management and reporting involving multiple internal and external parties. Recent previous experience working as a Safety Administrator within the civil construction industry.
