The Opportunity
We are seeking an industry experienced site Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) advisor to work with our NSW team to work on various large scale renewable projects across NSW.
In this role, you will be responsible for site safety in accordance with WH&S legislation and regulatory requirements to ensure the safe delivery of the project. You will champion HSE initiatives and partner with operations to keep our people safe and deliver quality projects.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL ALSO BE TO:

  • Implement and maintain our WHSE system on site to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and established performance standards
  • Assist in the planning, execution and monitoring of high-risk work activities to ensure successful HSE outcomes
  • Conduct or assist site inspections and investigations
  • Develop and deliver internal communications and lead community meetings and toolbox sessions

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL POSSESS:

  • Qualification in either Work Health Safety, Environment, or equivalent experience
  • Field experience in a high risk industry such as electrical or construction
  • Previous experience in a site-based safety/audit role
  • A track record of inspiring safety leadership
  • Great communication skills and the ability to foster positive relationships with all staff and visiting stakeholders
  • Working with local HV utilities, regulators and renewable clients will be highly regarded however not essential
